Uppercut is a term from the boxing sport. A boy named Willy O'Shea earned his money as a boxer as a teenager, which gave him his nickname "Uppercut". Despite the difficult times of the world economic crisis and the hard boxing sport, the touring boxer always paid attention to a well-groomed appearance. Willy was always known for looking good, so he always had a can of homemade pomade with him.

Inspired by the timeless style of the 1950s barber shops and its founder Willy "Uppercut" O'Shea, Uppercut Deluxe is a brand for men's grooming products with roots in Australia. The boys behind Uppercut Deluxe are both barbers and therefore decided to bring the barbershop experience to their customers at home. The range includes essentials for hair care and styling as well as products for shaving and beard.
